The Crypto Castle’s fame precedes its inception. Its construction lasted almost a decade and it was contested by some who were concerned for a concrete and steel structure in the coastal suburb. However, its incredible design received a multitude of praise for decades to come, including the Australian Institute of Architects Commendation Awards in 2000.

For almost 30 years, this iconic gem sits proudly atop the South Coogee clifftops as one of Australia’s local landmarks. Receiving it’s title ‘Crypto Castle’ by tech entrepreneur Fred Schebesta after he purchased the property in 2021, Mr Schebesta has opened the property for photoshoots, filming and luxury stays.

Designed by celebrated architect Renato D’Ettorre, this world-class masterpiece features endless views that sweep across the Pacific Ocean from Sydney’s famous Bondi to Lurline Bay. The Crypto Castle boasts four levels including an infinity edge heated pool, rooftop platform with 360 degree views, alfresco areas and commercial kitchen.
